...Moderate accumulations of snow Wednesday into Thursday...
*Hazards...Snowfall which may make roads difficult to travel Wednesday into Thursday
*Accumulations...Total storm accumulations are expected to range from 2 to 5 inches by the time the snow ends early Thursday. Higher amounts are expected further north and west and in higher elevations (closer to 5 inches), and lower amounts further south and east (closer to 2 or 3 inches).
*Impact...Travel may be difficult with roads becoming slippery and traffic backups during the snow.
*Timing...Snow is falling across most of the area, and will continue into Wednesday night and Thursday morning, before ending Thursday morning
*Confidence...Confidence in the advisory is high.
*Information...
A Winter Storm Advisory means that a moderate winter weather event is expected across the area, specifically 2 to 5inches of snow with this event. This wintry precipitation may cause some moderate travel difficulties or delays. Occasionally, heavier precipitation may cause very difficult travel especially if it accumulates rapidly. Please prepare for slippery and snowy roads and keep alert for updates on the situation.
