The past few days have featured a persistent wintry pattern with light snow falling across the area, owing to clipper systems which have moved southeast from Canada. The forecast over the next few days will change, rather dramatically by mid week. For the rest of the weekend and Monday, it looks to be dry and partly cloudy. Monday will actually be a bit colder, as the flow turns northwest. But looking ahead, a storm system will approach the area from the southwest, drawing in warmer air at all levels. Prior to this warm air push, a few inches of snow could fall Tuesday into Wednesday, but precipitation is expected to change to sleet and then rain (staying frozen longer if you live further inland). Keep an eye here over the next few days for more details on the mid week system.
