For the next few days, winter will have a complete lock-down on our area. Several shortwaves (weaker) will slide east/southeast past the area, sparking off the potential for snow showers. Saturday and Sunday will feature a stronger shortwave passage, bringing the possibly of a few inches of snowfall. Temperatures should run below average (what else is new) through the weekend, with high's in the low 30's and lows in the low 20's. Fair weather is expected Monday and Tuesday, but another potential snowstorm looms on the horizon Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
Tonight (Thursday Night): Partly to mostly cloudy, with lows in the mid 20's. Winds west and around 5 miles per hour.
Friday: Mostly cloudy, with light snow likely in the afternoon. High's in the low to mid 30's. Winds northeast at 5 to 10 miles per hour, turning south at 5 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New snow accumulation of around a trace possible.
