We remain in an active pattern and, just a few days after the system which dumped heavy precipitation and snow across the interior, we are dealing with another storm system that will impact our area tonight into tomorrow. As a surface low pressure drives into the Great Lakes, tremendous isentropic lift and warm air advection will approach the region. Areas north and west, inland and away from the onshore flow, stand a chance to keep frozen precipitation the dominant precipitation type with accumulations of snow and sleet. We have issued a Winter Storm Advisory for these regions. Other areas will be overcome by the warm air, and will turn over to all rain. Precipitation could be heavy at times with total rain in excess of an inch in some spots. Please see the newly issued Flood Message. We will continue to post radar/satellite and OBS data here as well as continue discussion throughout the evening into tomorrow. More soon.
