Dreary Christmas Comes to a Close

Firstly, i hope everybody had a wonderful holiday today. However, most of the day was overshadowed by rain, heavy at times in some areas. The rain started just after noon time, and continued for a good 10-12 hours...possibly longer (and maybe still ongoing) in the northern sections of the NYC Area. We have some preliminary storm totals here from the NYC Area (NWS)...you can clearly see where the banding set up. Some large totals seen in Western New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania.

Overall, the rain event went just as planned, with the exception of the freezing fog seen in some areas this morning prior to the rainfall. Finally, you can see to the right the radar image of the most of the precipitation moving up into Northern New England. As you can see, we have no backside snow or flurries to even worry about with this event, and you should stay mostly dry for tomorrow.
Hope everybody had a great holiday.
