An upper level low over the area, which plagued the forecast with showers and cooler weather this week, is on the way out. By Friday afternoon, mid level heights in the atmosphere will begin rising as a ridge builds into the area. Warm air will be pumped towards the region beginning Friday and Saturday -- and will only be amplified on Sunday after the passage of a warm front Sunday Morning. Temperatures will be a bit slower to respond, par for the course in setups like this, but will gradually increase each day. Generally pleasant weather is expected Friday and Saturday, with high temperatures in the mid 60's and lower 70's respectively. The real story comes Sunday morning, as a warm front approaches and passes the region. We could see some showers and thunderstorms early in the morning -- but by afternoon, things should clear out as the front moves north of the area. This will help to advect in some of the warmest air of the season. Highs will reach into the low 80's in isolated spots on Sunday, and likely into the mid 80's on Monday with the potential for some higher readings in isolated locations. The warmth won't last forever -- with a front likely looming Tuesday or Wednesday -- but it will certainly feel more like late Spring or Summer while it's here.
