Live view of New York City
This Friday has been quite chilly, with interior areas dropping to near freezing and some higher elevations into the lower 20's. The cold air will have had it's last grasp on the area, at least for the next few days, as most of the area will warm to near 60 today. Overnight lows tonight will be at least a few degrees warmer than previous nights, with the city probably not dropping as far into the 30's, especially on Long Island where overnight lows should stay in the 40's. By Saturday afternoon, temperatures will be in the low 60's for highs, and it will feel even warmer in the sun. The warm weather should last until Sunday (although cloud cover could keep down high temperatures), and by Monday a cold front moves through, bringing with it a reminder that we are headed towards late fall and winter. Enjoy the weekend, as it will be a great one for being outdoors. Featured image: a view of New York City on this autumn Friday.
