If you're looking for a glimmer of spring hope, today is the day for you. A warm front is forecast to pass north through the region this morning and afternoon, allowing temperatures to spike into the 60's and potentially lower 70's over some areas that receive full sun. Spring will be in the air ahead of a cold front which is still well to our west over the Central United States. This cold front isn't forecast to pass through our area until Tuesday morning, so a warm night is on tap tonight as well. The warm spring weather will unfortunately be short lived, though, as the cold front brings rain, some wind, and cooler temperatures Tuesday afternoon. That being said, the airmass is not bitterly cold, so Wednesday and Thursday should both be relatively pleasant, although temperatures will be running a bit below average. Beyond this, the forecast is uncertain. Model guidance is in dissaray in forecasting the position of a mid level ridge which will build into the Eastern US. Further south, and we could receive a prolonged period of rain along the periphery of the ridge and along the temperature gradient. Further north, and our area could see a spike in temperatures to above average through next week. We will see, but for now, try to enjoy today once the skies clear and the warm front passes!

Today (Monday): Mostly cloudy early, then partly cloudy after noon. High near 70. South winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.

Tonight (Monday Night): Mostly cloudy, with a chance of showers. Low near 60. South winds 8 to 14 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
