Last night's rain event now over, and the storm system responsible for it now dissipated, we can look towards the end of the week with brighter eyes as the forecast looks dry and more pleasant. Although temperatures will remain slightly below average for this time of year, a storm system will pass to our south on Friday, keeping things dry in our forecast area (sans the chance of a sprinkle or two). The forecast as we approach the weekend becomes a bit more tricky, as a warm front approaches the area Saturday with the potential for a few showers again. Still, the rain will not be widespread or steady like it was last night. Afterward, we can look forward to the potential for warmer weather on Sunday and Monday, mostly away from the coast, as a southwest flow develops drawing in warmer air. A storm system will pass well to our northwest building a ridge into our area.  The degree of warming remains in question, but there is at least hope of some warmer spring-like weather in the near future.  Featured image: NAM model showing the developing ridge over our area later this weekend.
