***Update 6:22pm March 31st, 2011....This LFP is no longer in effect...*** New York Metro Weather has issued a Snowstorm Warning for Sussex County in New Jersey, Putnam and Orange Counties in New York, and Litchfield County in Connecticut.  This Snowstorm Warning is valid from 10:00pm Thursday evening through 12:00pm Friday afternoon. A Snowstorm Warning is issued when forecasters expect a high impact winter weather event to occur over the warning period, or in this specific case, are expecting 4 to 8 inches of snowfall to create hazardous conditions. These conditions are forecast to occur over the next 24-36 hours or are currently occurring. The wintry precipitation accumulation may cause travel difficulties, delays, and stoppages...and may be hazardous to driving and traveling. The official text for the Snowstorm Warning is below.
