The showers, thunderstorms, and bleak weather of Monday will become a memory by Tuesday morning as the cold front clears the region and skies are able to clear, with the sun shining across the area. Temperatures will be cooler, and there will be some wind, but widespread rain is not in the forecast through the end of the week. Wednesday will end up a few degrees warmer than Tuesday, with less wind and high's in the 50's in what will probably end up being the nicest day of the week. A thermal boundary crosses the region Wednesday night (maybe some scattered showers) and ushers in very cold air once again, with highs on Thursday in the mid 30's. Cold airmasses like that don't last too long this time of year, though, so temperatures should rebound by Friday and Saturday. The next chance of rain isn't forecast until this weekend, when showery weather may return for Saturday and Sunday, although one of the two days could feature warmer weather with our area in the warm sector and the storm system still well to our west. We will have to wait and see if we can salvage the weekend!
