If you haven't noticed already, today has been one of the colder "feeling" days of the autumn season. It's also one of the coldest for high temperatures, although our overnight lows have gotten much colder than this at times. The breeze and temperatures barely scraping 50 degrees make it seem much cooler than it actually is. A large, Canadian originating high pressure is to blame, and behind a shortwave in the mid levels this afternoon, a new fresh high pressure will build in for this weekend, assuring cool and dry conditions will continue. As we look towards the beginning of the work week, more of the same can be expected, but a gradual warming trend is forecast by Tuesday before a cold front approaches the area mid week. Uncertainties exist thereafter in regards to the placement of the front, and a potential rain making system as well. For now, enjoy the cool and sunny autumn weather.
