...Severe Weather Watch in effect from 1000pm April 8th, through 100am April 9th...

*Discussion...a complex of showers and thunderstorms is moving northeastward from 

east and southeast Pennsylvania and will continue to do so over the next several hours.

Warm and humid air in place ahead of the storms could support a continued threat for

isolated severe weather. Even if the storms remain below severe limits, the potential 

exists for frequent lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds.

* Precipitation type...rain.

* Hazards...Damaging wind (Moderate), Large Hail (Low), Heavy Rains (Moderate),

Tornadoes (Very Low).

* Timing...the storms will move northeast through the watch area from 1000pm through

100am Friday..and may continue northeast afterwards.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

These storms have the potential to produce heavy rain, some damaging wind gusts, and 

frequent lightning. Prepare accordingly. Do not stay outside during the storm system.
