A coastal system is forecast to move out of the Gulf of Mexico, towards the Carolina coast and then towards the 40/70 benchmark east of Long Island by Saturday Night and Sunday. Forecast guidance continues to struggle with precipitation amounts, intensity, and type, but it's becoming more clear that our area will be directly impacted by this storm. The forecasting staff has issued a Winter Storm Advisory as well as a suite of products at 5pm this afternoon. You may use the link bar above this post to access this information. Additionally, we will be continually updating this post with radar images and other important information regarding the storm system throughout the evening and into tomorrow. We've included the latest water vapor satellite imagery below. More soon. Please see our above mentioned discussions and products for more information.

1:30am: Graphics have been updated below you. We are working on and issuing products. Our storm total snowfall forecast has replaced the QPF forecast on the graphical page. Stay tuned for more updates.

330am: Our staff is still working hard on updating the Advisories, Forecast, and Discussion as well as the graphics. The 06z NAM seems cooler in the lower levels across some areas, and has moved the dynamic precipitation a bit northwest compared to it's 00z run. It's going to be a close call tomorrow watching this system unfold. Updated satellite radar right below you.

100pm: We've gotten several reports of flakes mixing in North and West of the city with higher elevations remaining mostly snow. Very impressive look to the system itself. More updates coming later, we've included the latest zoomed and northeast radar below.

330: Forecast and products have been updated. Everything seems to be on track. Northwestern zones may verify on the higher end of expected forecast but 2-5" and advisories will hold. Radar's have been updated below. Our staff is still here monitoring everything as is the drill during events like this. Enjoy the snow for those who are experiencing it.

6:00: Our package has been updated to include Mercer and Middlesex county in the Winter Storm Advisory. The rest remains unchanged. The storm total snow map has been updated as well.
