Going to be a pretty short blog post tonight, got alot of stuff going on. Rain continues to train across the region at this time on a chilly, damp Wednesday evening. The rain is expected to continue off and on moderately/heavily until at least mid day tomorrow. The GFS QPF forecast out to 84 hours is quite bullish, given some of it develops due to conv ection across the region. Still, a good 2-2.25 inches of water fall across much of New Jersey and NYC..could create some urban/small stream and possibly river flooding. Though the heaviest rain will fall tonight and tomorrow in all likelyhood, chances of showers/thunderstorms will continue until at least the end of the week.
It appears that things may finally begin to clear out by Sunday as the upper trough and surface low begin to exit the region and high pressure begins to build in from the west. Have a good night guys.
John
