Roughly halfway through meteorological winter, New York City still sits with a Trace of snow. Much of the same can be said for many major reporting stations throughout the area. Now, to be fair, this doesn't include the October snowfall...which until this point has been the only "noteable" snowfall since last winter. The pattern has been dominated by, for the most part, unfavorable meteorological teleconnections for snow. That is, the pattern...taking into account many meteorological indices and normals...just won't cooperate right now if you're looking for sustained winter weather. We'll take a look at where we have been, where we're at now, and where we are headed..below. A word of warning: If you're here looking only for news of a wintry pattern, we don't have much good news. So you may want to save yourself the time. We hope you all enjoy the video -- and feel free to comment and chat with us on the upcoming pattern.
