First and foremost, Happy Friday! Today will be another mostly clear day with cold temperatures, although high temperatures should run a few degrees above the very cold highs experienced on Thursday. Generally, highs near or slightly above freezing are expected throughout the tri-state area. The real "warmer" days of the bunch will be Saturday and Sunday, with highs running near or slightly above 40 degrees in the afternoon. Overnight, low temperatures should average in the mid 20s, a bit colder inland. This will be the first weekend in a while where we can safely say precipitation will stay out of the picture completely, and we welcome that with open arms! The next chance for precipitation comes Monday, and even that seems spotty at best. Beyond that, a mid level ridge is forecast to build towards the region by the middle of next week, likely opening door for more warming, this time with high temperatures likely nearing or exceeding 50 degrees.
