Tuesday turned out to be another pleasant day, although somewhat cool, the wind was light and the sun was warm enough to keep things comfortable. Wednesday will actually be warmer on the thermometer, but the winds will keep it a bit cooler as a cold front approaches from the northwest. High's in the 50's during the day will give way to much colder temperatures, as one of the colder airmasses of the past few weeks moves into the area. Although the pattern doesn't support prolonged cold, we can still manage a few very cold days with winter like temperatures still just to our north. All it takes is a strong cold front, and we've got it on Wednesday. Thursday will be cold, for sure, with temperatures just barely nudging above freezing for highs. By Friday, though, temperatures rebound and the weekend will feature warmer, cloudier, and rainier conditions as a storm system lingers off to our northwest. Depending on the timing of the system, one of the days this weekend could have highs reaching into the 50's towards 60 despite cloudiness. We will have to wait and see. For now, enjoy the dry weather. Featured image: Visible Satellite from 1:00am March 2nd, 2011 showing a cold front approaching well to our northwest over Southeast Canada.

Today (Wednesday): Partly sunny and warm, though it might not feel as warm as yesterday thanks to the winds and approaching front. High near 51. West-southwest winds 8 to 14 miles per hour.

Tonight (Wednesday Night): Mostly clear, and cold. The 50's from the afternoon will seem like a distant memory. Overnight low around 21. North winds 15 to 20 miles per hour.
