The past few weekends have featured the chance of snow and rain (and ice in one case), but this one looks to break from the mold. Precipitation chances are expected to stay rather low throughout the weekend. A coastal storm system will pass well to the south and east of the area on Thursday, with only a slight chance of a flurry or two in the air across areas to the south and east like the New Jersey shore. Temperatures Thursday afternoon should reach into the upper 20's at finest, as winds turn northwest. Another very cold night is expected Thursday Night into Friday morning, with temperatures dropping into the single digits inland and into the low to mid teens in urban areas. The warming trend will begin by Friday afternoon, with high's jumping into the mid to upper 30's. By Saturday and Sunday, high temperatures are expected to eclipse 40 degrees, with overnight lows also warmer, in the mid to upper 20's.
