Early morning Wednesday will be once again be a bit warmer than the past few nights, with temperatures only having dropped into the low to mid 30's. An upper level disturbance will pass the area Wednesday morning, sparking off another area of light to moderate precipitation. Showers will be likely in the morning in the city and immediate suburbs, while areas to the north and west may experience some freezing rain with colder temperatures at the surface. All traveling in the morning commute should be careful of potential slick roads and freezing rain which could cause icy and hazardous conditions. During the day Wednesday, a chance of showers (and freezing rain away from the city) should continue through at least the first half of the day. The second half of the day should feature mostly cloudy skies, but gradually clearing by early evening and becoming clear after sunset. Temperatures will plummet after sunset, so be careful of a quick freeze of any standing water..once again creating very icy roads.
